International Foundation Year
International students who have not completed an international baccalaureate IB, UK A-Levels, or the American Advanced Placement APs are expected to take the international foundation year. The international year is normally taught by pathway providers on the campus of top universities in USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. The aim of the foundation year is to prepare students for their academic major they intend to study and helps bridge the academic gap.
International Foundation in Art and Design
The International Foundation Year in Art and Design those modules: Design Portfolio, Art and Design, Skills for Art and Design, Academic English. Upon successful completion of the international foundation program students can progress to any Art, Design, Film and Theatre majors taught at the university. The duration of the foundation year ranges from 8 – 12 months depending on the student’s high school qualifications and TOEFL or IELTS Score.
Foundation in Business and Management
The International Foundation in Business and Management covers those academic modules: Economics & Finance, Business Behaviors, Skills for Business, Academic English. Physical Sciences, Skills for Science, Academic English. Foundation in Medical and Life Science
The International Foundation Year in Medical Sciences and Life Sciences covers those modules: Molecular Biology, Biology & Biochemistry, Skills for Science, Academic English. Upon successful completion of the international foundation program students can progress to any engineering major or any computing major taught at the university.
The medical foundation program allows students to apply to various degrees at top universities and medical schools including MBBS, dentistry degree, nursing degree, pharmaceutical degrees, medical sciences, medical engineering and other general science degrees.
Pogression from Medical Foundation to MBBS Degree
The International Foundation in Medicine those modules: Biology, Chemistry, Introduction to Physiology and Anatomy, Introduction to Pharmacology, Introduction to Pathology, Introduction to Genetics, Science & Ethics and Science Study Skills, Academic Medical English.
Upon successful completion of the international foundation program students can progress to MBBS Medicine & Surgery at the University’s Medical School. The duration of the foundation year 9-month full time program. The admissions criteria include good grade in high school education and IELTS score of 5.5 or above.
Students should pass the medical entry exam depending on which country they wish to study their MBBS degree. For example, UK Medical schools expect students must pass the UKCAT exam, which is prerequisite for UK medical schools admission.
